Our facilities

Comfort in the middle of the tundra
The mission of Leaf River Lodge is to provide an exceptional fishing and tourism experience in Nunavik. This includes promoting sustainable tourism, preserving the natural environment, and offering unique outdoor adventures that showcase the region's rich wildlife and Indigenous culture. The goal is to create memorable experiences for visitors while supporting the local community and economy.

The Rivière aux Feuilles outfitter, located in Nunavik, has replaced its diesel generators with a green energy system comprised of 32 solar panels and 15 batteries, reducing its fuel consumption by 18,000 liters per season. This project, carried out in partnership with Volts Énergies, was 50% funded by grants and will pay for itself in four years. The electricity fully powers the tourist facilities. The initiative, praised for its environmental and economic impact, is a contender for a Eureka! Award. It also paves the way for expansion into winter ecotourism, despite the increased energy challenges.
